Overview

I created the original (generation 1) branding/visual identity for Mood's printed media by mimicking the beachclub's summer environment; using a palette of bright, sunsoaked colours, opulent golds and distressed, weathered finishes.

For advertising, visual communication and messaging needed to be more direct and necessitated cleaner styling; using aspirational copywriting and sexy imagery playing on elements of the Mood logo - typeface and angel.

'The marque'

Inspired by a traditional ‘coat of arms’, Mood asked me to design a ‘marque’ that implied modern luxury and a quality heritage. The Mood ‘crest’, as it soon became known internally, with it’s elegant gothic ‘swirls’ and integrated shield bearing the mood signature ‘m’ contrasted and balanced well with a modern elongated typeface.
